The best memory that anyone can have at the circus is feeling like your apart of something great as a family. everyone is always busy in their own circle they forget about the importance of quality time with family and kids. :) the circus is a great way for everyone to forget about the non important things and have fun as adults or children!
ReplyDeleteMy most memorable memory from the circus would be as a child having my mother bring me and my two brothers. Seeing all the pretty lights and wonderful performances such as the lion act, the line walking, seeing the man getting shoot out a cannon, all right here in the city at the United Center. In the 90's the area wasnt as nice as it is now. Seeing a wonderful show like that gave me hope if people care that much to entertain us in our neighborhood It convinced me your not a product of your surrounding you can be whatever you wanted to be in life. And i just love how your showing woman how to save. Being a single mother money is always tight and it has been almost 1 month using coupons and it has been a big help. Thanks let me know when there is classes near being held near Cicero,IL

My favorite circus memory is when I took my son at the age of three. The excitement upon his face, the mouth opening and all his favorite characters in one room. He was so excited to be able to identify what he only had seen on tv or in a book. Not to mention to be able to enjoy cotton candy, juice and all the toys to pick from. It was a fun filled family day. To this day he enjoys all circus entertainment. I have to say my favorite, was when he saw "Princess Tiana for the very first time and then looked at me and said, "mommy thats you". LOL! We enjoy spending that time with one another.

My favorite memory was from about 5 or 6 years ago. I was a site coordinator of a after school program and I took the kids to the circus as a field trip. On the ride there, a few of the students stated that they had never been to the circus before and were excited to finally have the chance to go...(note: these replies came from teenagers, not the younger children..shocking, right!) It made my heart feel happy and outside of helping them succeed in school, I helped to make a few dreams come true.
ReplyDeleteMy memory of the Circus has stayed with me over the years, growing up with a single mother who has two daughters, it was very hard for her to take us to events like this. My sister is 7 years older then me and has worked since she was 13 to help my mother out. I must have been 8 and wanted to go to the circus so bad but like always was told we couldnt because we had no money. for the next few weeks my sister was at work more days during the week, she came home and told me to get ready because we were going somewhere special turns out she had been working so much so she could save the money to buy the tickets to take me I was so happy and lucky to have my sister. All 3 of us went and had a great time at the circus! everytime they come to town Im reminded I have the best sister in the world!

My favorite memory of the circus was entering in the big arena (seemed massive at the time) and smelling the aroma of popcorn and hotdogs and holding my grandmothers or parents hand while scanning the all the vendor booths. My favorite toy was the Red (or blue)hand-held twirly light with the mirror inside. I thought I was on top of the world when the lights dimmed and I was able to turn on that red light and wave it in the air with all the other kids while holding my bag of cotton candy!!! I thank my grandmother and my parents for giving me a memory that involved TRUE family fun! It has made it easier for me to make sure my two children have those memories as well!

My favorite memory was circus 2009, my youngest son was only 9 months and was soooo enthralled with the lights & sounds, the spotlight shined our way during one of the performances and he jumped up and began clapping and laughing as if he knew what he was seeing. The joy on his face was contagious, no one believed he was only 9months and enjoying the Greatest Show on Earth. We make it a yearly tradition to go the night before Thanksgiving as a family, my twins anticipate their trip to the circus for their annual bag of cotton candy and light sword.

My favorite memory of going to the circus was actually recently as an I was an adult. I went to the universoul circus with my boyfriend at the time because we felt like acting like kids. We had such a good time and my favorite part was when the drumline band came out in the stands. Everyone was dancing in the stands!

The best memory I have of the Circus was 3 years ago, a few coworkers and I took the children we work with to a Sat afternoon show. Only 2 of them had ever been to the circus before and we had pretty good seats and just seeing the looks on their faces made the extra costs well worth it for me. I know that this will be a memory that sticks with all of us for many years to come.

The best memory of the was when my aunt took me when I was about 7, she had a skybox from her work. I loved the part where a ton of clowns came ou of one car, I just could not understand how that many clown coul fit in that little car, the best part was when I was able to ride in a trolley like car with my aunt and the clowns at the end of the show. I still have the book that she bought me in my bookcase (I'm now 35), I would love to have my 2 children have a memory like that.

The best memory of going to the circus was when my oldest two children were 6 & 4. To see the smile on their face, the light illuminating in their eyes, and the mistery of all the excitement....brought me to tears. During those times, we were struggling financially and "family" time was limited because I had too work so hard just to provide the basic necessities. This was the first time that my oldest two children experienced joy in this form. The elephants terrified my son but to run into my arms for safety was one of the greatest feelings in the world.

Love the circus as a child even thou we did not get to go that often but my most memorable moment was watching my baby girl light up as she watched her first circus. The joy of hearing her yell the names of the animals as they come out. Short and simple but the feeling was indescribable.
