Guess what it is August 6th and you do not have to pay any taxes on your child back to school items between now and August 10th in the state of Illinois. Read my original post below.
The state of Illinois is offering 10 days when school supplies and clothing will be taxed at a lower rate. This year it will take place August 6th - August 10th, you will get a 5% discount on sales tax for all qualifying items including clothing, shoes, and school supplies. This can really add up to some great savings!

If you don't live in Illinois, State Google your States Name and the words Sales Tax Holiday to see they too are having a Sale Tax Holiday.
