Back to School Giveaway: Lysol Healthy Touch No-Touch Hand Soap System &Lysol Disinfecting Wipes: Dual Action

My daughter started school on Monday and I sent her to school with a new book bag, new school supplies, new uniform and a Lysol® Healthy Touch® No-Touch Hand Soap System. As a single parent mother who brings home the bacon and cooks it, I wanted to make sure that my daughter is safe and has good health so she can attend school daily.

Each year when school starts I see a rise in colds in our home I see more and more running noses, and my daughter coughing. Well this year, I took things in my own hands; I supplied her class with a few items that can help them be germ free.
While, I know that kids will get sick and will have to take off from school, I wanted to do my best by helping my child and other kids stay COLD FREE by supplying the classroom with the correct equipment to assist in being germ free. Traditionally, classrooms are breeding ground for germs. Every desktop, pencil sharpener, doorknob and faucet that an infected child touches becomes colonized with germs.

Lysol® sent me a Lysol® Healthy Touch® No-Touch Hand Soap System and a Lysol® Disinfecting Wipes: Dual Action. My daughter and I sat down and talked about how to properly wash our hands. Go here to check out the hand washing tips that me and my daughter worked on at home. The system is very easy to set up with its dispenser, soap refill, and 4 AA included batteries. We received the Aloe Vera & Vitamin E with Moisturizers.  The soap was very soft on our hands and my daughter told me that it smelled PRETTY.  My daughter liked that she didn't have to use a pump to get the soap.

One day while I was in my room, I could her her running her hands under the soap dispenser.  In order to save some of the soap, I made sure that I hit the off switch that they have in the back of the dispenser.  I make sure it is on while she needs to use it, but I want to conserve the soap until, I find a good coupon deal.

We also talked about Before & After-School Hygiene Habits. My daughter now knows that her book bag, coat, shoes goes in the front closet. She knows that she is to wash her hands before she gets her snack out of the fridge, and that she should wash the table before and after she eats. To help my daughter wash where she eats, Lysol sent me a Lysol® Disinfecting Wipes: Dual Action.

These wipes were fantastic, because not only are they convenient, but they work so well with their two sides – one for wiping and the other with built in fibers for scrubbing tough messes. These wipes kill 99.9% of viruses and bacteria, including the flu and are handy for use all over your home. My daughter uses them to clean up after she eats and play in her room.  By having these wipes, it helps that we don't have to use spray, the bacteria action cleaning is in the wipes.

Taking all of the steps to keep your kid’s germ free is easy. As a parent, we have to makes sure that our kids are well equipped with tools to stay germ free. Sit down and make your before & after school hygiene routine. Also talk to your kids about hand washing while away from home. For Back to School Season, Lysol® wants to give one of my readers a Lysol® Healthy Touch® No-Touch Hand Soap System and one Lysol® Disinfecting Wipes: Dual Action.

  8. My Tip for not spreading germs. I always tell my daughter to wipe the toilet seat down and sink with a lysol wipe. Then after she's done she sprays the handles on the sink and toilet handle with lysol spray. Then I tell her to wash her hands well and sing twinkle twinkle litter star. Then instead of using paper towel we have a mini hand dryer in the bathroom (since paper towels can pass germs as well)after she leaves the bathroom she put's hand sanitizer on her hands! My 6 year old has it down pact!

  9. Our tip for staying germ free is to wash our hands before and after meals, we sing a song she learned from her favorite cartoon that goes to the tune of twinkle twinkle little star. We also make sure to close the toilet before flushing it to be sure that germs don't get in the air. We also work towards not rubbing eyes and putting our fingers in our mouth. My 2 year old is learning slowly but surely!

  10. If necessary you may have to use latex gloves to protect yourself from germs. In my line of work, I use them often.

  11. We try to wash our hands often after anything we do...using the bathroom, putting dishes in the dishwasher, doing laundry, eating...etc. I have used the wipes to clean many times. My 2 1/2 year old loves to put her hands and other things in her mouth. Its very important to have these things as clean as possible for me.

  16. My tips for staying germ free may sound impersonable but in today's society you can never be too careful. I keep handshaking and contact to a minimum in most cases, I teach my family to their wash hands more often than usual, and I keep Clorox bleach on deck. It helps with keeping away the germs:)
