If you think Black Friday is the biggest shopping day of the year; wait until I tell you about the day after Christmas. Each year I go to two stores for after Christmas Sales. 1st on my list is Target, generally after Christmas on December 26th (for 3 days) most of Target Holiday and toys are 50% off. December 29th (for 3 days) most of Target Holiday and toys are 75% off, and January 1st if there are any items left they can possibly be priced at 90% off.
My 2nd store that I take a visit to is Dollar Tree. My local Dollar Tree sells their gift wrapping paper and other Holiday items at 50% off. Take a chance at your store and see if they two are taking 50% off their holiday items.
Sister Save-A-Lot: After Christmas Shopping Tips. . .
Purchase toys for next year: If your child is 2, look for toys for 3 years old on the clearance rack.
Fill your gift closet: I don't know about you, but my gift closet is wiped out. If you are going to weddings, baby showers or birthday parties in the next 12 months you can get some awesome deals on gifts now.
Wait to return items: Why wait in line and make yourself mad. Wait a few days to return the item that you need to exchange or return.
Avoid impulse buying: Ask yourself, "Do I need this?" If the answer is no; leave the item at the store.

Daily Worth: FREE Personal Finance Newsletter Just for Women!
I have always thought that I was a frugal person, but I really became frugal last year when I started my Sister Save-A-Lot blog. My tag line for my blog is “Mastering Frugal Living”. I asked myself how can I teach people how to master frugal living if I haven’t done so my self. Being frugal does not mean that I am cheap. I just think of ways to save on thing that I am going to buy, events I am going to see and meals I am going to eat. Does being frugal works for me….YES! Will it work for everybody…may be not?
